The ZX Spectrum was the powerhouse of the 1980s in the UK. Created by Sir Clive Sinclair’s Sinclair Research as a computer for the BBC’s computing courses but failing to get the nod from the BBC, it managed nevertheless to become the go-to system for home programmers and game enthusiasts.
